Re:Discovering Los Angeles…again

I love Los Angeles,
No…really, I’m not joking.  I do.  I LOVE my home town.
I’m a Native…My Mom and Uncles went to Venice High.
My Grandma went to Venice High.
I even went to Venice High (and Culver High Too)…and lived to tell about it.  LOL.
There’s so much diversity sprawled across this huge city, and there’s so much culture and amazing places, usually just hidden in plain sight.
The SoCal Weather is usually nothing to complain about…you can hit snow & surf in one day some times of year, and when it does rain, the days that follow are beautiful.

I’ve been lucky enough the last few years to have the opportunity to work with a great crew out of Washington, the MSN Beet Team (Microsoft) and Buick, from Detroit.  Every year, they trek across the country, in search of the “Souls” of the cities they visit.  They follow a handful of individuals through their own cities, and ‘Re-Discover’ amazing places and culture that is sometimes overshadowed by the hype, or lost in the mix somewhere along the way.

some shots from Elysian Park, and Santa Monica Pier during our shoot…

If you are an LA native, take a look at the videos they’ve been doing, and I’m sure you will find a piece of your own history here…and a few things you never even knew of as well.
